Hurry up, and wait!

It's probably a good thing I gave a talk last Sunday in Church about Job, because compared with his great losses I have nothing to complain about... yet, it will be TWO more days until we can move in - not today as contracted. This is apparently because the bank selling the property gets a 3-day grace period when they get updated tax figures on the property. Part of them repossessing the home is to pay the taxes up to date. It's hard to have to wait longer, and we lose our opportunity to prepare the house some (paint, etc.) before moving in our belongings on Friday and Saturday. However, we have much to be thankful for, so patiently we wait.

As we get ready to move across the street from Mandy's parents in a week, I was reminded by family members far away that a few more pictures of our family posted would be nice so they share in getting to see and know us from a distance. If a picture paints a thousand words, here are some of our best 17,000 this past year for you. The pictures are in chronological order above. The posed picture was from exactly a year ago (Aug. '07). The rest mainly come from Leah's birthday in April and our Independence Day trip to visit Mandy's grandmother in Nutrioso, Arizona (in the "White Mountains") included a parade, rodeo, and fishing. Everybody Loves...

First, Happy Birthday to Talsan, my brother who's about six years younger than me. I hope you're still enjoying life before 30! Many are thinking it, so I thought I'd have some fun with it. Yes, we're moving directly across the street from my in-laws, just like the setting for the show "Everybody Loves Raymond", so here's a fun scene to enjoy... will I be saying the same things to my child's teacher in a few years? :-)

Clean!

House inspections were this afternoon, and no termites, and no problems (but loose toilet tanks and and a few drywall repairs--easy fixin')... that's GREAT NEWS considering the bank is selling the house AS IS. Here's a better picture of the pool. We're really excited to move in!

5 and 25 days to go!

Moving day is tomorrow, and it's been crazy getting ready to this point. We signed away our home today (effective August 6) and close on the next home August 26. It will be a few weeks with the Sharp's now just as David's getting ready for his mission to Cincinatti, Ohio. We appreciate our family helping us out along the way!!! Back to work now! Oh, and a huge THANK YOU to all our friends here in Tucson, especially in the Valencia and Desert Willow wards, who have gone out of there way to make us feel sad we're going... wait, I said that wrong :-) ...for showing such appreciation and love for us throughout our farewell here. You will never be forgotten by us.
